un Truck, 2011
--One of my girlfriend’s birthday items.
Previously I made a doll of her in her work place’s Halloween costume, and I thought it was about time to give that doll a car to drive. Well actually I just wanted to do a motorized model as I had been building only scale still models all my life.
As for the “un” theme, my girlfriend had this obsession of working for UN, so I created this knock-off version of “un”—Untitled Nations to play around on some of my projects to her for her about her.
The kit isn't very detailed like a still model kit is due to its motorization nature, meaning it's more of a hand-on toy. As result, I didn't put much efforts into detailing the model. Nevertheless, I did draw an additional comic to support the concept.
